Motorcycle Driving Course A1

Theory

Practical

After passing the modules 1 and 2 tests, you will be allowed to ride a motorbike with up to 35 kW of engine power. This is the initial part of an entire A license, which allows you to drive manual or automated motorbikes or scooters.
Your A1 license will only last two years. After that, you'll have to upgrade to the A2 licence which will allow you more freedom on roads.
A1 courses include both practical and theory classes. The amount of instruction you receive is contingent on your level of experience on the bicycle. The number of classes varies from school to school. Sign up for the A1 course as soon as you can to ensure that you book both your practical and theoretical tests at the same time. You'll also need to have the appropriate equipment, such as a helmet and gloves. If you don't have the required equipment certain driving schools offer a loaner service.

Licensing
The first step to obtaining getting a motorcycle license is the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). If you pass it the test, you are able to legally ride on a motorcycle with an maximum power of 35 kW. It can vary from a moped to a small motorbike.

You also have to prove that you are able to control the bike in various conditions and in all types of weather.
To pass the test you must have completed at least five hours of riding on Federal or Country Roads, and four additional hours in the daytime or dawn. You must also take a set number of special rides. The instructor will inform you when you are ready to take the test and provide you with valuable tips for passing it.
